These terms apply to your use of Word Weave (word-weave.com), a vocabulary learning platform operated by Tim Meyer, Germany. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
Word Weave lets you create sets, sections and vocabulary entries, import lists, and practise them. The core features, namely creating sets, expanding sets and practising sets, are free of charge. We may in future offer optional paid extra features; these would be described and priced separately before you buy, and would not turn the existing free core features into paid ones.
The service is provided as it is currently developed. We may change, add or remove features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
You agree not to:
To protect the service, we apply fair-use limits, for example a daily cap on the number of sets that can be created (currently about one hundred per day). Normal use is not affected.
You keep ownership of the content you create. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process and display your content to the extent necessary to operate the service for you, and to back it up. If we introduce features for sharing content with others, we will introduce separate terms for these, and nothing will be made public without your action.
You confirm that you have the right to the content you upload or import.
The software, design, name and logo of Word Weave belong to us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.
We may warn, restrict or suspend accounts, or remove content, if you materially breach these terms or if needed to protect the service or others. We may delete accounts that have been inactive for a long time, after notifying you where possible. You can end your relationship with us at any time by deleting your account or asking us to.
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law requires (for example under the Product Liability Act). For slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. Because the core service is provided free of charge, we do not guarantee that it is free of errors or always available. Please keep your own copy of content that is important to you.
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or paid plans. We will inform you of material changes in advance by email or in the app. If you continue to use the service after the changes take effect, they apply to you; if you do not agree, you may delete your account.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. Mandatory places of jurisdiction remain unaffected.
